Historical currency of Austria, used from 1925 to 1938 and from 1945 to 1999. Replaced by the euro at a fixed rate of 13.7603 schillings per 1 euro.

History

Introduced in 1925, replacing the Austro-Hungarian krone. Used until the Anschluss in 1938, then restored after World War II and used until the transition to the euro in 1999.
